Joseph Ladd is noted as much for his clever apt expression and candor as he is for his sensitive handling of the various kinds of personalities — actresses and actors, fashion editors, socialites, media — who comprise his clientele. Joseph has made a name by uplifting his clients both on the inside and outside giving, each a glamorous extension of who they are inside.
Since opening the JL Salon ten years ago in Buckhead Gardens, the French-born Mr. Ladd transformed the once-dull landscape of the hair salon into a vibrant scene worthy of a chick-flic bestseller, a Broadway musical, or an over-the-top fashion shoot.
This Buckhead Gardens area where the salon is located today is a calming and luxurious complement to the vibrant energy found inside the salon.
While he has studiously avoided creating anything that could be called a signature cut, Joseph nonetheless strives to give all his clients the same thing: a clean, warm, modern look that brings together the glamour and grace of uptown with all the youth and vitality of downtown. It's the perfect formula: one that allows every woman to express herself easily, naturally and beautifully.
And yes, he does it for men, too.
